Club Med!

Last week we returned from our annual family vacation with my dad and Twi, brothers and sisters and the kids. This year we went to Club Med in Cancun! It was so fun. It's all inclusive, so you can eat or drink whatever you want the whole time you are there, and there are a ton of fun activities that you can go and do anytime (sailing, windsurfing, waterskiing, kayaking, etc.).

The place is beautiful! This is a picture of the view from our balcony!

And here's a shot of the pool! The girls are sitting with Uncle Gary and Aunt Tessa. Our rooms were in that building right by the back of the pool - we had the perfect location.

Here's a pic of our terrific babysitter, Louise. The girls LOVED her. She kept the little girls twice when Warren and I went scuba diving with Gary and Tessa. The diving was great - our first dive was a reef dive and we saw a ton of beautiful fish, including some very large ones! Also a lobster and a bunch of barracuda.

Our second dive was one of the coolest dives I have ever done - it was in a natural cavern, similar to ones that you tour on foot, except this one was filled with water. So we could see all the stalagtites and it was like you were flying through the cave. Another cool thing about it was that the top part of the water in the cave was fresh water, while the bottom was salt water. There was just about a 3 foot band where the water mixed. So when you went between the different levels, it was very blurry where the water was mixing, and you felt a distinct temperature change. We had to wear wetsuits because the fresh water was pretty cold. We bought a video of the dive, so hopefully I'll be able to post a little clip of us eventually.

And here are the girls on the airplane. Not a great pic, but I am mostly posting it because Maya didn't remember ever riding on the airplane before this trip, though she has many times, so it's a little memory booster for her! She will remember this one! :)

It was a fabulous trip, full of fun! Thanks, Dad and Twi, for another terrific family vacation! We feel so lucky to have wonderful experiences like this!! We love you!
